Liturgical Ministers Schedules

Current Special Minister and Server Schedules

The Church has clear directives with regards the use/participation of
Extra-Ordinary ministers of Communion.

When we use the cups (except during flu season), we are in need of 2 ministers to assist with the cup.

When we have a need for a minister to take communion to the choir, there is a need for another minister
(regularly at St Mary's, holidays at St Joseph's), the minister takes communion to them and gives them communion
after they are finished singing,  You can consume the remaining hosts, place the ciborium at the altar.

When there is a number of people attending the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass,
the priest is to distribute communion (if a deacon is present he assists either the priest or the cup.)

When there are a sufficiently large number of people,
Fr will indicate the need for an additional minister to come forward.
(a reason we should come to every mass prepared to assist, if needed.)

Do not take offense if you come forward and you are not used,

it says nothing about you nor your worthiness or desire to serve,

it is simply about the directives of Holy Mother Church

who looks out for the needs of her priests and people.

It truly is a reason why we are called: Extra-Ordinary.

Thank you for your faithfulness and attentiveness to your ministry.+ fr dominic
