Mission Statement
The Roman Catholic parish family of St Mary/St Joseph commit to serving God and, as best we are able, the needs of our parish family & community.
By Gospel living, we seek to serve the poor, the vulnerable, the unborn while maintaining the dignity of the human person, supporting true marriage & family life, honoring the vocations of marriage, the priesthood & consecrated life.
Through full Gospel preaching, Bible& Church history, we follow St. Paul’s mandate ‘to hold true to the traditions that have been handed on from the apostles.’ (1 Cor. 11:2)
Our identity as members of the Body of Christ is maintained with Peter, in Pope Francis I , the Servant of the Servants of God, John Barres, Bishop of the Diocese of Allentown, and the Schuylkill County Deanery, grounds us in a life-giving commitment that seeks to bring light where there is darkness.
We welcome Roman Catholics to join us, we invite inquirers as to our Catholic way of life. We promote a full liturgical life through the Sacraments & sacramentals that provide a genuinely Catholic identity.
